The product, in three sentences
What it is
YourSomeOne™ is a personal AI companion for ordinary conversation — the walk home, the bad afternoon, the thing you keep meaning to do. You build a companion, it keeps its personality, and it remembers what you have approved it to remember.
What it is not
It is not a dating service, a matchmaking app, therapy, or a healthcare or crisis service. There are no real people on the other side of a companion conversation, and companions never claim to be human.
Where it is in its life
It is a working build in controlled public beta with a small first group of members. Text conversation works. Everything else described as planned is exactly that.

You are not setting up a chatbot session. You are building one companion identity — its personality, how it presents itself, what it knows about you and the history the two of you share — and that identity belongs to your account. Today you talk to it in text. It is designed so the same companion can carry into voice, video and avatar experiences as we build them, and it is designed with future physical embodiment in mind should suitable services, hardware standards, permissions and safety controls ever become available.
A companion shaped around you — not an idealised one, and not a person. It is openly AI, it will sometimes get things wrong, and it is designed to be honest about both.

Physical embodiment
We are designing the companion identity so it could, in principle, be carried into a compatible physical device — a home robot or similar embodiment — if such devices, open standards, permissions and safety controls become available. No robot or physical device is supported today, we are not building hardware, and we cannot promise this will ever be possible.
Physical embodiment is a design intention, not a feature, a product or a commitment. Robots and physical devices are not supported, no compatibility exists today, and any future support would depend on suitable hardware, standards, permissions and safety controls — with your explicit consent for anything that moves.
Your companion, and your decision
A companion that lasts only matters if the person it belongs to stays in charge of it. These four rules apply now and to anything we add later.
You decide what may ever move
If a new form of your companion becomes available, you choose whether to carry anything into it and what to carry. Nothing is copied across on your behalf, and no private memory moves automatically.
Private stays private by default
Memories you keep private are not shared with anything new. Anything a companion holds is visible to you, editable by you, and removable by you at any time.
Your data leaves with you
You can export your conversations, memories and companion configuration from Settings, and you can delete your account and its history. That is available today, whatever else is added later.
No transfer promise
Compatibility with anything outside YourSomeOne depends on third parties, standards and law. We are designing for it, we are not guaranteeing it, and we will not set a date.

- What is YourSomeOne?
- YourSomeOne is a personal AI companion for everyday conversation. You talk to a companion that keeps its personality between conversations and remembers what you have approved it to remember. It is an AI, always labelled as one, and it is not a dating service, a therapist, a healthcare service or a way to meet other people.
- What works in the public beta right now?
- Text conversation. You can pick one of forty ready-made fictional companions or build your own, approve what it remembers, fill in an optional About Me profile, and export or delete everything from Settings. Voice, video and avatar experiences are not available in the beta.
- How do personality and memory work?
- Your companion is a configuration you control: its personality, tone, interests and appearance. During conversation it proposes things worth remembering, and nothing is stored until you approve it. You can read, edit or delete any memory at any time, and you decide which facts are shared with companions and which stay private.
- Who controls my data?
- You do. Your conversations and memories sit under your account, we do not sell personal data and we do not share it for third-party advertising. Service providers we rely on to run the product may process data only to operate it. You can export a copy or permanently delete your account and its history from Settings.
- Are voice, video or robots available?
- No. Text is the only way to talk to your companion today. Voice, avatar and video experiences are planned but not connected, and no robot or physical device is supported. We do not give dates for anything that is not live.
- What does “designed with future embodiment in mind” mean?
- It means the companion identity — personality, presentation, preferences and approved history — is stored as your data rather than being tied to one screen, so it could in principle be carried into new forms later. That could include voice and video, and potentially a compatible physical device if suitable hardware, standards, permissions and safety controls ever exist. It is a design intention, not a promise, and nothing would move without you choosing it.
- Does the beta cost anything?
- No. YourSomeOne is free during the public beta and no card is required. We do not collect payment details, there is no countdown and no expiry date on your access. Fair-use, safety and capacity limits still apply so the service stays reliable for everyone.
- Will it stay free?
- We are not promising that. Paid plans may be introduced later, and we would give advance notice before anything changed. We are not quoting a future price during the beta, and nothing you do now creates a charge.
- What is a Founding Beta Member?
- Members who join and verify during the public beta get a visible Founding Beta Member status, priority access to voice, avatar and video experiments when they open for testing, and a direct feedback channel into the roadmap. Eligible for future founding-member benefits. Nothing is promised about price or permanence.
- Can I export or delete everything?
- Yes. Settings has both: download a copy of your conversations, memories, profile and companions, or permanently delete your account and its history. Deletion removes your data from the live product; we do not keep a shadow copy for advertising.
- What are the limitations, and is it safe?
- It is an early build, so expect errors, slow replies and features that change. Companions can be wrong or make things up, so please do not rely on a reply for medical, legal, financial or religious decisions. It is not a therapist or a crisis service — contact your local emergency services if you need urgent help.
